Since then, branches have been opened in nearby Dunkeld.

Our History
Brendan Kelly’s family has lived in the Penshurst district for more than 100 years.
Brendan’s great-grandfather William Ambrose Kelly began working at Strachan Shannon & Murray in 1912, managing their wool, livestock and land sales.
He was followed by son Nolan in 1930, who joined Strachan & Co continuing the stock and wool business until 1972.
Brendan’s father Des Kelly joined Strachan & Co in their new showroom at 76 Bell Street Penshurst, eventually managing the store and continuing the Kelly tradition of providing expert advice in wool, livestock and land sales.
Today, Brendan Kelly is at the helm of the now expanded site in Bell Street, and has since grown the business to open branches in Dunkeld in 2005 and Wodonga in 2006.
In 2000, the business joined the Mitre10 group offering a comprehensive range of hardware to trades and residential customers in additional to the rural supplies and services.
Along with extensive product knowledge and exceptional customer service, the Kelly family has a wonderful history of supporting the local clubs and community groups in Penshurst and surround including the racing club, football & netball club, hospital, churches and school.
